Pop-up skate packages available for community events and other purposes
A council in an inner-city suburb of Melbourne has become the first to utilize Skateramps Australia's latest offering - the pop-up skate park (see images on this page). The council also has plans for more of the pop-up facilities.
What makes this design truly unique is of course in the name. That is, the modules can be moved relatively quickly with suitable equipment. Combined with food trucks, music and other activities, the pop-up skate park becomes the centrepiece of any community event or activity. Or, it can be used as the basis for community exercise and social activity for a few weeks and then removed or moved to another area.
The park features a basic layout, with low, rollover skate modules. This makes it perfect for kids of all ages, including younger children.
